On Wednesday 21 January 2026, the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, hosted a morning tea for Executive and Board Members of the ACT Jewish Community, at Government House Canberra.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received His Excellency Gopal Baglay, Indian High Commissioner, and Ms Irina Thakur, Deputy High Commissioner.

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Jay Weatherill AO, Australian High Commissioner Designate to the United Kingdom. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, Australian Red Cross, visited and donated plasma at Lifeblood Civic Plasma Donor Centre, Canberra.
