On Monday, 16 March 2026, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, and Mr Simeon Beckett SC, hosted Their Majesties King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark, at a Tree Planting Ceremony on the grounds of Government House, Canberra. Students from Curtin Primary School also attended and watered the trees with Their Majesties after they had been planted. 

Then, Their Excellencies and Their Majesties, as guests of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, attended a Wreath Laying Ceremony, at the Australian War Memorial Canberra. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Ms Robyn Mudie, Australian High-Commissioner – Designate to Singapore, at Government House, Canberra. 

Then, Their Excellencies farewelled Their Majesties from Government House, Canberra.
