On Tuesday, 7 April 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as Patron of Australian Red Cross, hosted a reception for the Australian recipients of the 2025 Florence Nightingale Medal, at Government House, Canberra. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Ms Kate Jenkins AO, President, Mr Andrew Colvin AP APM, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms Jennifer Currie, Society Secretary and Chief Governance Officer, Australian Red Cross. 

Then, the Governor-General recorded video messages for: Westfield Bondi Investitures; InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit; Young Australian in International Affairs National Conference; Order of Australia Association National Conference; and Order of Australia Association Scholars Awards.
