On Thursday, 16 April 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, hosted a morning and afternoon Investiture Ceremony for Australian Honours at Government House, Canberra. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the 100th Birthday Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II.

Then, the Governor-General presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with Senator the Honourable Katy Gallagher MP, and the Honourable Dr Andrew Leigh MP, at Government House, Canberra.
