On Thursday 30 April 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with Senator the Honourable Jenny McAllister and the Honourable Peter Khalil MP.

Then, the Governor-General received the Honourable Virgina Bell AC SC, Commissioner, Royal Commission on antisemitism and social cohesion at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a morning tea for the 2026 Chinese-Australian Community Leaders Summit. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron in Chief and guest of Major General Michael Smith AO (Retd), Chair, attended a Gallipoli Scholarship Fund Dinner at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
