On Wednesday 6 May 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC placed a telephone call to Councillor Sharon Cadwallader, Mayor, Ballina Shire Council, New South Wales. 

Then, the Governor-General placed a telephone call to Mr Todd Andrews, Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, Marine Rescue New South Wales. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron and guest of Mr Bart Meehan, President, visited ARTSound FM at Manuka Arts Centre, Canberra. 

Later, the Governor-General met students and teachers from Penleigh and Essendon Grammar Girls School, Moonee Ponds, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General attended a meeting of the Bravery Council at Government House, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General conducted an interview with Ms Katina Curtis for The Nightly.

Afterwards, the Governor-General recorded a video message for Marine Rescue New South Wales.
