On Wednesday 20 May 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC as guest of Mr Leonard Hill, Chief Executive Officer, visited the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies in Acton, Canberra. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General placed a telephone call to His Honour, the Honourable Mr David Connolly, Administrator of the Northern Territory. 

Then, the Governor-General recorded video messages for: World MS Day and the Kings Birthday Honours list.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, hosted a reception and awards ceremony for National Volunteer Week 2026, at Government House, Canberra.
