On Thursday 11 June 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council. Members in attendance were the Honourable Dr Andrew Leigh MP and the Honourable Julian Hill MP.

Then, the Governor-General met students and teachers from King Park Public School, Wakely, New South Wales, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General co-hosted a roundtable with Ms Katie Kiss, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, and Ms Micaela Cronin, Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commissioner, for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls, at Government House, Canberra.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Marko Ham, Ambassador of Slovenia at Government House, Canberra. 

Then, the Governor-General received His Excellency the Most Reverend Archbishop Charles Balvo, Apostolic Nuncio for Holy See, at Government House, Canberra.
