On Monday 15 June 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, met students and teachers from Mary Mackillop College, Kensington, South Australia, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General recorded a video message for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia’s State of the Nation dinner.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador of Afghanistan. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and His Excellency Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of the Honourable Chief Justice Stephen Gageler AC, attended a ceremonial sitting in memory of the late Sir Anthony Mason AC KBE GBM CBE KC at The High Court of Australia, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General met students and teachers from Harrington Public School, Harrington, New South Wales, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra.
