On Thursday 25 June 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with the Honourable Sam Rae MP, and Senator the Honourable Anthony Chisholm. 

Then, the Governor-General, met students and teachers from St Andrew’s School, Walkerville, South Australia, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Australian Head of Mission Designate to Ghana, at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, hosted a lunch in honour of designate and incumbent Australian Defence Force Senior Appointments at Government House, Canberra.   

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received His Honour the Honourable Mr David Connolly, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Sue Brosnan OLY, at Government House, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General hosted a farewell reception for Ms Erika Olsen, Chargé d'affaires, Embassy of the United States of America, at Government House, Canberra.
