On Tuesday 4 August 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC received Ms Sophie Bunten, Australian National University student.

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, Banora Point, New South Wales, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Kathy Klugman, Director-General, Office of National Intelligence.

Later, the Governor-General received Ms Elizabeth Peak, Deputy Secretary, Office of the Pacific, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Her Excellency Ms Julie Sunday, High Commissioner for Canada to Australia.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Sam Meers AO, Chair, National Portrait Gallery, and Ms Bree Pickering, Director, National Portrait Gallery, attended the portrait unveiling of Aunty Beryl Van-Oploo OAM at the National Portrait Gallery, Canberra.
