On Wednesday 9 September 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Mr Pat Hetherington, Interim Coordinator General, National Emergency Management Agency attended the National Preparedness Summit at Hotel Realm, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for Minerva Champions and Mentors at Government House, Canberra. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General recorded a video message for RUOK day. 

Then, the Governor-General received Mr Jack Beetson, Ngemba Man and Executive Director of Literacy for Life Foundation. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General as guest of Joanne Ryan MP, Member for Lalor, attended a reception for Parliamentary Friends of Women in Sport at Australian Parliament House, Canberra.
