On Tuesday 13 October 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, met with students and teachers from Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Spring Hill, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra. 

Then, the Governor-General, received Mr Mark Tattersall, First Assistant Secretary, Polynesia Micronesia and Development, and Mr Toby Sharpe, Ambassador to Palau for Australia.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Surangel S. Whipps Jr., President, Republic of Palau.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron of Red Cross Australia, visited the Lifeblood Donor Centre, Garran, Australian Capital Territory.

Then, the Governor-General received Warrant Officer Jason Robinson OAM, Senior Enlisted Advisor, Chief of Defence Force, Warrant Officer Cheryl Collins OAM CSM, Warrant Officer, Royal Australian Navy, Warrant Officer Ralph Clifton, Warrant Officer, Royal Australian Air Force, and Warrant Officer Brad Doyle OAM, Regimental Sergeant Major, Australian Army.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, recorded video messages for Churchill Fellowship and Special Olympics.

Later, the Governor-General, received Dr Scott Rankin, Chief Executive Officer and Creative Director, Big hART, and delegation, for a tour of Government House, Canberra.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Matthew Murray, attended the Australian Council for International Development National Conference 2026 Awards Presentation at National Museum of Australia, Canberra.
