On Wednesday 14 October 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, received Ms Paula Ganly, Australian Ambassador to Jordan.

Then, Their Excellencies, hosted a Ceremonial Welcome for His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies received His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In the afternoon, Their Excellencies hosted a State Lunch in honour of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Genazzano FJC College, Kew, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra. 

Afterwards, Their Excellencies received Ms Hilary Wardhaugh, Photographer.

In the evening, Their Excellencies, as guest of Prerana Mahta, Chief Executive Officer, Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils Australia, attended the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils Australia National Conference at Old Parliament House, Canberra.
