On Wednesday, 28 October 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC met with students and teachers from Kotara South Public School, Western Australia, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra. 

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Lucienne Manton, Head of Mission-Designate to the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, hosted a morning tea for the 2026 Australian Rotary and Emergency Services Community Awards Ceremony (AusRESCA).

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of Dr Rolf Gomes, Founder, Heart of Australia, toured the HEART9 mobile health clinic at Old Parliament House precinct, Canberra.

In the evening, the Governor-General received virtually Mr Ian Patrick, Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales, and Mr Louis Reynolds, Deputy Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales.
