On Wednesday 16 September 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with The Honourable Patrick Gorman MP and The Honourable Emma McBride MP.

Then, the Governor-General received a Letter of Credence, accrediting His Excellency Mr Donatas Butkus as the Ambassador of Lithuania, at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received a Letter of Credence, accrediting His Excellency Mr Park Il as the Ambassador of Korea, at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General received a Letter of Credence, accrediting His Excellency Mr Per Albert Ilsaas as the Ambassador of Norway, at Government House, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General received a Letter of Credence, accrediting His Excellency Mr Jinsong Liu as the Ambassador of China, at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, met with students and teachers from Sheldon College, Sheldon, Queensland, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra. 

Later, the Governor-General received a Letter of Credence, accrediting His Excellency Mr David Martinon as the Ambassador of France, at Government House, Canberra.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission at Government House, Canberra.

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Valley View Public School, Wyoming, New South Wales, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, met with members of the Jewish National Fund Seniors Group, as they undertook a tour of Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Peter Bongiorni, President, Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc.
