On Thursday, 9 July 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of Federal Executive Council with the Honourable Dr Anne Aly MP and the Honourable Dr Daniel Mulino MP, at Government House, Canberra. 

Then, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and guest of Admiral David Johnston AC RAN, Chief of the Defence Force, attended the Chief of the Defence Force Change of Command Parade, at Field Marshal Sir Thomas Blamey Square, Canberra.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Melbourne, Victoria.

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Sarah Storey, First Assistant Secretary, South and Central Asia Division, at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Honourable Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Rabbi Yaakov Glasman AM, attended a St Kilda Schule Hebrew Congregation dinner in Caulfield, Victoria. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Melbourne, Victora to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
