On Saturday, 9 May 2026, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC and Mr Simeon Beckett SC travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Melbourne, Victoria.

Then, Their Excellencies, as guest of Mary Stuart, President of Museums Board of Victoria, and Lynley Crosswell, Chief Executive Officer and Director, Museums Victoria, attended the 125th Anniversary of the Opening of Federal Parliament at the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne. 

In the afternoon, Their Excellencies, as guest of Lynley Crosswell, Chief Executive Officer and Director, Museums Victoria, attended a Victorian Youth Parliament Debate at the Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne. 

Then, Their Excellencies travelled from Melbourne, Victoria to Sydney, New South Wales. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Michael Rose AM, President, Art Gallery of New South Wales, attended the 2026 Archibald Dinner at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney.
