On Saturday 17 April 2021, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, met with members of the community who were visiting Government House, Australian Capital Territory, to sign a condolence book in memory of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, travelled from Government House, Australian Capital Territory, to Perth, Western Australia.

Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley, hosted an investiture ceremony for Reverend Dr Margaret Court AC MBE.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley, as guests of Cr Kevin Bailey, Mayor, The City of Swan, attended the 2021 Mayoral Dinner.
