On Friday 15 August 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, met with students and teachers from Humpty Doo Primary School at Government House.

Then, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Pham Hung Tam, Ambassador for Vietnam. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, visited and recorded a video message for Victory in the Pacific (VP) Day.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, and guest of Ms Jo Panckridge, Chair, Children’s Book Council of Australia, attended the Australia Book of the Year Awards 2025.

Later, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and guest of Mr Matt Anderson PSM, Director, Australian War Memorial, attended the 80th Anniversary of VP Day. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.
