On Thursday 16 October 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with Senator the Honourable Katy Gallagher and the Honourable Doctor Andrew Leigh MP. 

Then, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Bacchus Marsh Primary School, Bachus Marsh, Victoria, as they undertook a tour of Government House. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, hosted a morning tea for Carers Australia. 

Later, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Moama Grammar School, Moama, New South Wales, as they undertook a tour of Government House.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales. 

Then, the Governor-General received a phone call from Air Marshal Robert Chipman AO CSC, Vice Chief of the Defence Force.

Afterwards, the Governor-General as Patron-in-Chief, hosted an afternoon tea and team uniform launch for the 2026 Milano Cortina Paralympic Games.
