On Friday 19 September 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, recorded video messages for the Older Women’s Network Conference; National Carers Week; ArtSound; and World Arthritis Day. 

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Elizabeth Peak, Head of the Office of the Pacific, and Mr Mark Tattersall, First Assistant Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General, received Their Majesties King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u of the Kingdom of Tonga. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, received His Excellency Mr Nguyen Trong Nghia, Committee Secretary, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Gillian Raymond, Director Digital, attended the National Portrait Gallery.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.
