On Friday 06 February 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, received Mr Matthew Wise, A/g First Assistant Secretary, Middle East and Africa Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at Government House, Canberra. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a reception for Ocean Decade Australia at Admiralty House.
