On Friday 20 February 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.

Then, the Governor-General hosted a morning tea for the launch of the National Primary Preventative Framework, at Admiralty House Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron, National and State Libraries Australasia, and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of Dr Caroline Butler-Bowdon, State Librarian, attended the 200th Anniversary of the State Library of New South Wales and launched the book: ‘The Library That Made Me – 200 Years of the State Library of New South Wales’.
