On Friday 1 May 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron, hosted a reception celebrating 10 years of Mary’s House services at Admiralty House, Sydney. 

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Patron in Chief, and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of Mr Ian Chesterman AM, President, Australian Olympic Committee, attended the President’s Welcome Home Celebration for the 2026 Winter Olympic Team at Ilumina, Sydney.
