On Thursday 15 October 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council with The Honourable Matt Keogh MP and The Honourable Pat Conroy MP.

Then, the Governor-General and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, to Sydney, New South Wales.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies hosted a morning tea for Cricket Australia Governor-General’s XI at Admiralty House, Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Molly Whelan, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr Jason Glanville, Chair, Foundation for Young Australians at Admiralty House, Sydney.

In the evening, Their Excellencies, as guests of Ms Clea Smith, Board Member, and Mr Luke Humphries, Head of Government Relations, Cricket Australia, attended the Governor-General's XI match at North Sydney Oval, New South Wales.
