On Monday 23 September 2024, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, received Vice Admiral Mark Hammond AO RAN, Chief of Navy. 

Then, the Governor-General hosted members of the Canberra Theatre Centre on a tour of Government House cottages. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students and teachers from Guilford Grammar School, Guilford, Western Australia, as they undertook a tour of Government House 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK AFC (Retd), Chair, Canberra Symphony Orchestra. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.
