On Thursday 29 May 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Ms Alison Frame, Secretary, Department of Veterans' Affairs. 

Later, the Governor-General hosted Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer Council ACT. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Commissioner Miriam Gluyas, Territorial Commander, attended The Salvation Army 2025 Red Shield Appeal Launch.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron and guest of Mr Glenn Keys AO, Chair, attended a Project Independence Residency Agreement Signing Ceremony.  

In the evening, the Governor-General, as guest of Dr Nick Mitzevich, Director, opened the Cézanne to Giacometti: Highlights from Museum Berggruen exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia.
