Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China

On Friday 8 April 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the First Assistant Secretary, North Asia Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr Peter Rowe.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr Jia Qinglin.

Earlier, at Darwin International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the departure from Australia by the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Dr Jose Ramos-Horta, by Brigadier Fergus McLachlan AM ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.
