On Friday, 8 August 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of His Excellency Mr Paul Stephen, attended a meet and greet with Australian High Commission Sri Lanka staff and their families.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General participated in a media interview with Mr Chevaan Daniel, Group Director, Capital Maharaja Group. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Hansa De Soysa, Project Lead, BeeVeda Project, visited the development site of the Australian Bee Keeping Program. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Priyanthi Pasquel, Coordinator, Community Tsunami Education Centre and Museum, visited the Tsunami Museum and Memorial.
