On Thursday 26 February 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, attended a breakfast with Dr Felix Ho ASM, 2026 Northern Territory Australian of the Year.

Then, the Governor-General conducted an interview with ABC Radio Darwin.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron of LifeEd, visited Parap Primary School.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Brigadier Robert Haerstch, visited the 1st Brigade, Australian Army. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr David Connolly, Northern Territory Administrator-Designate, attended the rehearsal of the Northern Territory Administrator Swearing-In at the Legislative Assembly. 

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of Aboriginal Peak Organisations Northern Territory, attended a meeting with Aboriginal Peak Organisations, Northern Territory.
