On Friday 28 January 2022, Their Excellencies General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley travelled from Singapore to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

On arrival, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley received a ceremonial welcome and attended a meeting with His Excellency, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, United Arab Emirates.

Later, the Governor-General attended a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai.
