On Wednesday 3 June 2026, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, and Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of His Excellency Mr David Charlton, Australian High Commissioner to Tuvalu, officially opened the new Australian High Commission Chancery in Tuvalu.
Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable Simon Kofe, Tuvaluan Minister of Transport, Energy, Communication and Innovation, and acting Minister for Home Affairs, Climate Change and Environment, received a briefing by the United Nations Development Programme and conducted a tour of the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project 1B, at Hall Construction Offices in Tuvalu.
Afterwards, the Governor-General was interviewed by Temese Teloko, Tuvalu Broadcasting Corporation, at the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project 1B Construction Site in Tuvalu.
Later, Their Excellencies, as guests of the Honourable Hamoa Holona, Tuvaluan Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, visited Nauti Primary School in Tuvalu.
In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Ms Charlene Watego, Australian Deputy High Commissioner to Tuvalu, and Ms Fagaua Katea, Tuvalu Family Health Association, attended a Women Leaders’ Talanoa (discussion), at the Tuvalu Family Health Association in Tuvalu.
Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of Mr Ken Eliesa Fonotapu, In-Country-Lead for Falepili and Pacific Engagement Visa, met Falepili Mobility Pathway Hub Staff and Visa Holders, at Funafuti Lagoon Hotel, Tuvalu.
Afterwards, Their Excellencies received a Traditional Farewell Ceremony at Vaiaku Maneapa, Tuvalu.
Later, Their Excellencies travelled from Tuvalu to Nadi, Fiji.
In the evening, Their Excellencies received His Excellency Peter Roberts OAM, Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, during a stopover at Nadi International Airport, Fiji.
Then, Their Excellencies travelled from Nadi, Fiji to Sydney, New South Wales.
