On Saturday, 9 August 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Mr Chandima Mapatuna, Head of International Cricket, Sri Lanka Cricket Board, visited Galle International Cricket Stadium. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of His Excellency the Honourable Mr Bandula Harischandra, Governor of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, and The Honourable Dr Nishantha Samaraweera, Ministry of Health, attended a United Nations Population Fund Mobile Health Clinic launch event.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Kolita Kamal Jinadasa, Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, and Rear Admiral Rajapriya Serasinghe, Director General, Sri Lanka Coast Guard, attended a Vessel Monitoring System capability demonstration on Sri-Lankan fishing vessels. 

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Dilhan Fernando, Chairman, Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company, and Mr Anuk Weerasinghe, Managing Director, Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management, attended a meet and greet and lunch with Resplendent Academy hospitality staff at Cape Weligama.
