On Saturday 25 July 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as Patron-in-Chief, and guest of Ms Petria Thomas OAM, Chef de Mission of the Australian Commonwealth Games Team 2026, attended the Australia versus Tonga Netball Match at the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland.

Then, the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief, and guest of Ms Petria Thomas OAM, Chef de Mission of the Australian Commonwealth Games Team 2026, toured the Australian Commonwealth Games Team Headquarters at Glasgow Argyle Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief, and guest of Ms Petria Thomas OAM, Chef de Mission of the Australian Commonwealth Games Team 2026, attended lunch with the Australian Diamonds Netball Team at Courtyard by Marriott in Glasgow, Scotland.

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Glasgow, Scotland, to Dublin, Ireland. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Her Excellency Ms Chantelle Taylor, Australian Ambassador to Ireland, attended a Celebration of the Contribution of ‘Irish Roses’ at Abbey Lea in Dublin, Ireland.
