On Tuesday 21 November 2023, Their Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley visited the Guadalcanal Memorial in Honiara.

Then, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley visited the National Referral Hospital.   

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley attended a morning tea with Australian table tennis para-athletes.  

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief of the Australian Olympic Committee, and Mrs Hurley attended the 2023 Pacific Games weightlifting competition, at which the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley presented medals to the winning athletes.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley travelled from Honiara, Solomon Islands, to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
