On Saturday 28 February 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, travelled from Mount Isa, Queensland to Cloncurry, Queensland. 

Then, the Governor-General as guest of Mr Greg Campbell, Mayor of Cloncurry attended a Community Reception at Chinamen’s Dam Recreational Area, Cloncurry.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Jason Floyd, General Manager Ernest Henry Mine Operations, visited the Ernest Henry Mine. 

Later, the Governor-General as guest of Mr Greg Campbell, Mayor of Cloncurry visited the Royal Flying Doctor Service Museum and attended a community reception at John Flynn Place, Cloncurry. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General travelled from Cloncurry, Queensland to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
