Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children's Renwick Centre; Reception for Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS)
On Tuesday 30 November 2010, at North Rocks, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO opened the new Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children’s Renwick Centre in recognition of the Institute’s 150th anniversary.
Later, at the Museum of Sydney, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE attended a ceremony at which the Administrator launched the book ‘Admiral Arthur Phillip – The Man’ by Lyn Fergusson.
In the evening, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Administrator and Sir Nicholas hosted a reception for supporters and staff of the Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS).
Earlier, at the FIFA Headquarters, Zurich, Switzerland, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC met with the President of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), Mr Joseph Blatter.
Later, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended dinner with the 2022 FIFA World Cup Australian bid team.
