On Monday 3 November 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Rear Admiral Chris Smith AM CSM RAN, Commander Australian Fleet, presented the Gloucester Cup to HMAS Sydney at the Heritage Centre, Fleet Base East. 

Then, the Governor-General received Mr John Hardie AM, President, Professor Caroline McMillan AO, Vice-President, and Mr Bruce Ramage, Secretary, of the Royal Societies of Australia. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted an afternoon tea and presented awards to finalists of the King's Trust Australia Awards.
