On Thursday 18 December 2025, the Governor General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, visited Rabbi Mendel Kastel, Chief Executive Officer, at Jewish House, Bondi and held discussions following the Bondi Beach terror attack.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Rabbi Mendel Kastel, attended the funeral of Matilda.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of New South Wales Police Commissioner, Mal Lanyon, visited the Sydney Police Centre and met with Police Officers, staff and volunteers, following the Bondi Beach terror attack.

In the evening, Their Excellencies, as guests of Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis visited an evening of prayer and unity at Central Synagogue.
