On Saturday 20 December 2025, the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Mr Peter Agnew President and elected Director of Surf Life Saving Australia, visited Bondi Beach to meet with first responders to the Bondi Beach terror attack from Bondi and North Bondi Surf Life Saving Clubs.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and guest of Friends of Gallipoli attended the 110th anniversary of the withdrawal from Gallipoli at the ANZAC memorial in Hyde Park.
