On Wednesday 7 January 2026, in Eveleigh, NSW, the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Dr Dominic Morgan ASM, Commissioner, visited the NSW Ambulance Sydney and Aeromedical Control Centre.

Then, at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, the Governor-General attended the funeral of the late Mr Peter Meagher.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General as guest of Mr Jason Trethowan, Chief Executive Officer, Headspace and Ms Nefeli Pnevmatikos, Centre Manager, Headspace Bondi Junction, visited Headspace Bondi Junction. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General, in Bondi, as guest of Rabbi Litzman OAM, visited Mr Yaakov Super and family and met with representatives of Hatzolah Ambulance service.  

In the evening the Governor-General placed a call to Mayor Greg Campbell, Mayor of Cloncurry Shire Council.
