On Thursday 29 January 2026, the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, as guest of Kathy Baykitch, Sydney Jewish Museum, met with volunteers preserving the flowers from Bondi Memorial at Bondi Pavillion, Waverly.

Then, the Governor-General as guest of Mr Joseph La Posta, Coordinator General Bondi Community Response, and patron of Lifeline Australia, attended the Bondi Recovery Hub, at Bondi Pavillion, Waverley.

In the evening, Their Excellencies as guest of the Honourable Michael Kirby AC CMG, attended the book launch of Law, 'Justice and Other Challenges: Selected Speeches and Papers of Michael Kirby' at Banco Court, Supreme Court of New South Wales.
