On Wednesday, 1 April 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, received a telephone call from Her Excellency Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of the Most Reverend Kanishka Raffel, Anglican Archbishop of Sydney, visited and recorded an Easter video message at St Andrews Cathedral, Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Jorge Aroche, Chief Executive Officer, visited the Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors, in Carramar.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Ricci Bartels OAM, attended a community reception and met members of the Fairfield community from refugee and migrant backgrounds, at Cabramatta Community Hall, Cabramatta.

Afterwards, the Governor-General travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
