Then, the Governor-General placed a telephone call to Mrs Valentyne Poltavchenko. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General placed a telephone call to Constable Scott Dyson, New South Wales Police Force. 

Later, the Governor-General placed a telephone call to Probationary Constable Jack Hibbert, New South Wales Police Force. 

Then, the Governor-General placed a telephone call to Mr Yaakov Super, Emergency Medical Volunteer, Hatzolah.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as Patron of Rugby Australia, and His Excellency Mr Simeon Beckett SC, as guests of Her Excellency Ms Fiona Flood, Ambassador of Ireland to Australia, attended a Wallabies and Ireland Nations Championship Test reception at The Intercontinental Hotel, Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor-General hosted a reception for the Rotary Club of Sydney, and was inducted as an Honorary Member, at Admiralty House, Sydney.
