On Monday 29 March 2021, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) received Mr Chris Hartley, Executive Officer, Australian Future Leaders Programme.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley hosted a lunch for Mr Bernie Shakeshaft, Founder, BackTrack; Mr Isaiah Dawe, Chief Executive Officer, ID Know Yourself; and Mr Jarrod Wheatley, Chief Executive Officer, Professional Individualised Care.

Later, the Governor-General received representative of Life Education, including Ms Kellie Sloane, National Chief Executive Officer; Ms Sue O’Malley, Chair; and Mr Shaun Bonett, Deputy Chairperson.

Then, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Mrs Hurley hosted an investiture ceremony for the Honourable Tony Abbott AC.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the Shake It Up Australia Foundation's launch of Pause4Parkinson's.
