On Monday, 9 March 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

Then, the Governor-General, as Patron and guest of Honorary Professor Mathew Neuhaus, President, Royal Commonwealth Society, attended the 2026 Commonwealth Day Multifaith Celebration, at The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Canberra. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General travelled from Canberra, Australian Capital Territory to Sydney, New South Wales.
