On Friday, 13 March 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, placed a telephone call to Mayor Joanna Holden, Mayor of Katherine.  

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.  

In the afternoon, the Governor-General recorded video messages for: World Down Syndrome Day, The Simpson Prize, Indigenous Marathon Foundation, and St Francis Social Service Gala Dinner.  

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Neil Hawkins, Australian Ambassador - designate to Israel. 

Later, the Governor-General conducted a video call with Mr Dave Vosen, Australian Ambassador to Denmark, and received Ms Mary Ellen Miller, Assistant Secretary Western Europe Branch, and Mr Henry Norris, Assistant Director, Western and Southern Europe Section, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
