On Tuesday 24 March 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, participated in a live cross interview with Matt Shirvington to Sunrise for the King's Baton Relay ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Then, the Governor-General participated virtually in McKinnon's Democracy Counts National Townhall from Admiralty House in Sydney.

Afterwards, the Governor-General was presented the King's Baton by Matt Shirvington ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Later, the Governor-General as Patron-in-Chief, hosted a reception for the King's Baton Relay, Commonwealth Games 2026 on the lawns at Admiralty House.

In the evening, the Governor-General travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
