On Wednesday 21 May 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, hosted a morning tea for finalists of the Dame Enid Lyons Oratory Competition.

Later, the Governor-General travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.

Afterwards, the Governor General met with students from St Peter’s Lutheran College, Indooroopilly, as they undertook a tour of Government House.

In the evening, the Governor-General as Patron, hosted a reception for Volunteering Australia in recognition of National Volunteer Week.
